She has to decide if the flames between her and her husband deserve another shot.

MY REVIEW:
A very sweet short story. Something to read for when you are waiting at an appointment. I have to say it is very much along the lines of the Sweet Home Alabama movie. But still, the feel good read for a short.  I give this: 4 stars

An Unlikely Pair: The High School Years (My Once and Future Love, #0.5)Free short story. My Once and Future Love series. The high school years.

By typical standards, Beth and Jacob should've never been friends, but it's funny what Geometry class and a shared backyard wall can bring about.

The first book in this popular series, "An Unlikely Pair: The High School Years" covers Beth and Jacob's friendship before their inevitable kiss and attempt at a relationship in "An Unlikely Pair", and sets up a bond that will last a lifetime.

MY REVIEW:
I really enjoyed this book. The two characters just jump off the pages to touch your heart. They are in some way each of us at some point in high school life. The bond of friendship they formed was heart warming & heart breaking at the same time. For those two years during your teens can be a life time. The way it ends just killed me. Can't wait to read the next installment. But can't imagine it will be as wholesome as this prequel.

MY REVIEW:

I have to tell you during the first chapter I wanted to chuck this story. I really did not like Luke he was just an arrogant pompous Ass. You see he was such a man whore that he was shot by one of his someone who didn't like him. Hmm? I wonder why that would be? While still at the hospital what few true friends Luke does have came to visit him and to talk him in to leaving the country until whoever shot him is caught. So, leaves for the Rivera for 6 weeks. With the promise to his friends to rest and no women at all the whole time... Well, he almost makes about 4-5 days before he meets Peyton...Peyton Lane. He really had this thing for her whole name. She s a workaholic & part owner in a financial investment company who has no time for dating. So, when Luke falls all over her, really while playing football with a little boy, she can't take her eyes off him. Before, during & after. Then, they decide to have just a weekend affair. Then boom, boom, & boom again. Can you say EROTICA? Wow!!! Saw both these characters differently. It did get better and had some really funny places, graphic places, and the one word I find crude in a story & it keeps on coming up. Pussy see how it jumps out at you. Either call it what it is or call it... Your sex, you vi-jj, or love box anything but that. I surprisingly recommend this book. Compliments of NetGalley.com that I was able to read this. For my honest opinion.

Tough to Love: Saving Avery (A Novella)

Tough to Love: Saving Avery (A Novella)Hardened from past hurts, can Avery West and Steel Brickman find the strength to heal one another? Steel’s intensity is overbearing and strong, crushing Avery’s ability to breathe. Avery’s wall is so thick – it seems almost impenetrable. Tangled in a mess of pain and desire, the two must learn to trust one another to find their own salvation.

MY REVIEW:

This was a moving and thought provoking story. I have to say it had its moments where I didn't want to put it down but yet it was so sad because of the codependency that they both had in the relationship that they had with each other. But, at least there was love there for at the end there seemed to be a HEA. I thought Avery had such a hard past to work through and Steel was the perfect man to help her work through it and Steel too had his issues of being a controlling person but yet he was able to be in a place to step back especially when he asked Avery to leave and be a true man and admit he was wrong and she had to admit she was too by reacting instead of acting. As we all do when act out of fear or hurt. I have to say I did feel a little cheated with the ending of this story like we did not get find out about his career or if they finally really do get married. But it is a Novella so I guess I needed to keep that in mind.

Separation of Power

CIA super agent Mitch Rapp is back in action in Vince Flynn's high-velocity "New York Times" bestseller. Newly appointed CIA director Dr. Irene Kennedy is the target of an inside plot to destroy her and prematurely end the American President's term. To make matters worse, Saddam Hussein is close to entering the nuclear arms race -- something Israel has vowed to stop. With the haunting specter of World War III looming, the President calls on his secret weapon: top counter terrorism operative Mitch Rapp. But with only two weeks to take out the nukes, Rapp is up against a ticking clock -- and impossible odds.

HUBBY'S REVIEW:

I enjoyed this book. I have been reading this series out of order but that is okay. You can pick up where ever you are at. This book was fast paced and had many different things going on for the main character Rapp. That really helped the book a long and made more interesting. I will say that this book pick up right where the one before it left off, but you can follow along and pick up the story in the three chapters. A good action read. On another note my thoughts and prayers go out to MR.FLYNN'S, family he passed away this past week. Many prayers to his wife and daughters he was so young.  So he has many books out and they are all good if you like action.

The Art Forger

THE ART FORGER                                      B.A. SHAPIRO
Posted: July 1, 2013

The Art ForgerOn March 18, 1990, thirteen works of art today worth over $500 million were stolen from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. It remains the largest unsolved art heist in history, and Claire Roth, a struggling young artist, is about to discover that there’s more to this crime than meets the eye.

Making a living reproducing famous artworks for a popular online retailer and desperate to improve her situation, Claire is lured into a Faustian bargain with Aiden Markel, a powerful gallery owner. She agrees to forge a painting—a Degas masterpiece stolen from the Gardner Museum—in exchange for a one-woman show in his renowned gallery. But when that very same long-missing Degas painting is delivered to Claire’s studio, she begins to suspect that it may itself be a forgery.

Her desperate search for the truth leads Claire into a labyrinth of deceit where secrets hidden since the late nineteenth century may be the only evidence that can now save her life.

HUBBY'S REVIEW:

If you are into art this book is for you. It is loosely based on a art theft from Boston. This book starts off slow but finishes strong. Like some artists I know. Growing up with an artist I could relate to a lot of the story. I don't want to say to much because then I will give away the story. This is a well written book and for me once I got past the first 5 chapters the story really really took off, but you do need the whole story to make a book. So this was a good and well written book.
