While Snowbound by Anna J. McIntyre
Snowbound with the famous rocker might be her best friend’s fantasy, but it isn’t Ella’s. Nor is she impressed with the fact Brady Gates was voted sexiest man of the year – twice. Ella was looking forward to the isolation of her mountain cabin and the peace and quiet she needs to finish writing her book. Rescuing the careless celebrity in the midst of a blizzard and taking him to the safety of her remote cabin was not how she intended to spend her time on the mountain.

Weary of lovestruck fans climbing into his bed uninvited and the ever present paparazzi, Brady Gates had planned to take an incognito break from his hectic life and spend several weeks alone at a remote mountain cabin.

Finding himself stranded in a blizzard doesn’t bother him half as much as the fact the one woman he wants is the one woman who is the least interested in him.

18747265**Now includes HOLDING ON, a Memories series novella**

New Adult Contemporary Romance - Only intended for readers age 17+ due to sexual situations and strong language.
A city girl.
A small town boy.
A summer they'll never forget.

Spending the summer at her Grammy's in Lilac Bay, Devon, is city girl Alexis 'Lexy' Edwards' idea of hell. That is, until she reconnects with her childhood friend, Jen, and meets Alec Johnson.
Alec is the kind of guy Lexy knows she needs to stay away from. He's the village flirt, ridiculously hot and very dangerous to her self control. But there's a problem – she can't seem to keep him out, even though she knows he'll break her heart.
As Alec slowly strips away Lexy's defences and the two embark on a summer romance she never wanted, their feelings grow to more than either expected. But nothing lasts forever, and reality intrudes.
As her world is shaken to it's core, Lexy's self made prediction comes true when she discovers she's spent six weeks surrounded by secrets. Kept out by her family and the only guy she's ever trusted, she falls apart.
And when Grammy tells her that 'you might not end up where you wanted to be, but you'll always end up where you're meant to be,' she has to figure out if her meant to be is back home in London, or if it's been in Devon the whole time.

HOLDING ON:
Living in London after spending almost twenty years in a town with a population of three hundred would be hard on anyone – and Alec Johnson is no exception to the rule.
When Alec followed Lexy to London, he knew his life would change drastically. He just didn’t know how much. With Lexy’s friends and admirer to contend with, he has to show there’s more to the country surfer boy than his ability to ride the waves. With his own shameless admirers, he has to keep Lexy’s trust – and despite her love for him, that’s no easy task.

Beneath her tough girl exterior, all Jennifer Mason has ever wanted to do is paint. London’s School of Art can give her that, and she couldn’t be happier she’s finally breaking free from Lilac Bay. What she’s not happy about is having to leave Carl behind – or his reluctance to visit her while she’s studying.
Their relationship is put to the test as living on her own for the first time and university take their toll on Jen. After all, three hundred miles is a long way to be away from your boyfriend when you’re eighteen years old.
And it’s even harder when you can’t keep your eyes off your best friend’s older brother.

Cristina Grenier              166 pgs.              4  Stars
RodeoAfter her parents died in a car accident when she was a child, Eva ended up growing up on a farm with her grandparents, loving them to pieces but hating the hard work and early mornings. The only good thing she had for herself while living there were her teenage years and the boy from the farm next to them. Tommy Silver. Sweet, golden blonde and every bit a cowboy, Eva fell madly in love with him and spent every waking hour with him. They shared days together in the corn fields, tucked away in the lofts of the barns, and even shared their first sexual experience with each other. He was her first love, and she was his.
But that all changed when Eva's dreams became too big for Tommy. She was destined to leave the farm and head to the city for university. He was never going to give up the simple life of a cowboy, loving the freedom and quiet wide open spaces. But the two lovers viewed freedom differently and Eva finally cut her ties and moved on.

Years later, after finishing university, she works in the city as a successful business consultant and is engaged to a successful business man, John. He's smart, rich, and sexy with black hair and a strong build that comes with being a sturdy football player in high school. But looks aren’t everything, and Eva soon realizes that as her new marriage begins to fall apart and she sees John for what he really is: a selfish jerk that treats her like dirt. Always making jabs about her weight and jealous that she's just as successful as he is. And she isn't even fat, just curvy, a normal and average full figured woman in this day and age. But his constant negativity begins to take a toll on her self-confidence and she takes comfort in a trip back home to see her grandparents for a couple of weeks.

Eva was delighted and eager to get back to the country she grew up in, strangely, she missed it.
But to her surprise, the ranch next door had changed. The name was now The Silver Stallion...Tommy Silvers place. Tommy's parents had passed but left him millions from a great deal of investments and also a fabulous life insurance policy. He used some of the money to turn the farm into a ranch, one where people could come and get away from the city to relax and enjoy the nature and horseback riding. Could she stand to be around her first love for two whole weeks while knowing she's married back in the city? Or will temptation be too much and bend all of Eva's values?

A romantic novella from the author of A Cowboy for Christmas, Embers of Hope and More Than Memories.

MY REVIEW:

This is just the type of HEA story you want to read at Christmas. Granted spies is not the top of your list for romance or Christmas storylines. I have to say this is a really good adventure to take & a love story. Things to make you smile & parts to make you sad. I did wish it was longer at the end.

A World of Trouble: Jack Shepard #3      356 pgs.      4 1/2 Stars

Shepherd was sick of Washington politics, sick of corporate law, and even a little sick of himself. So he hit the road looking for a new start, made a couple of wrong turns, and somehow wound up in Hong Kong. Now he needs a job, and being General Chalerm Kitnarock’s lawyer is a job, so he takes it.

Shepherd could certainly have done a lot worse for himself. Charlie Kitnarok is the world’s ninety-eighth richest man. He rules an international corporate empire and controls billions in personal assets. But he’s also a former prime minister of Thailand now living in exile in Dubai. When he’s not making money, he’s plotting his return to political power.

For Shepherd, that could be a real problem. Thailand already has a prime minister, and she's a woman with whom Shepherd once had a brief relationship. It will get particularly messy if, as Shepherd suspects, Charlie is smuggling arms to his supporters and intends to use the Thai army to seize control of the country. Can Shepherd keep his two friends from destroying each other and prevent Thailand from sliding into chaos?

Thailand is hurtling closer and closer to a bloody civil war. And as unlikely as it may sound, Jack Shepherd is probably the only person on earth who can stop it.
