Hustlin' Texas by K.C. Klein  Only one person in Oak Groves is happy to see bad girl Nikki Logan back in town...Oak Groves' most beloved bachelor, Jett Avery, lives by a simple set of rules. Getting involved with a complicated woman isn't one of them. He learned that the hard way two years ago when he spent one of the most incredible nights of his life with Nikki Logan. But then she hightailed it out of town, never to be seen again-until now. It might be time to break one of those rules...

Picking up the pieces of her life, Nikki is back in Oak Groves, face to face with the one man she's done her best to forget. But she has her reasons for being here-and they don't include winding up in bed with Jett. Especially since he'll never forgive her once he finds out the truth about why she's back...

Praise for KC Klein's Texas Wide Open

"Passionate, gritty and fast-paced...with a hot-blooded, honorable hero to make every woman's knees go weak."-Diane Whiteside

"A tortured hero, a love that defies distance and time...this is a book you won't soon forget."-Cat Johnson.

MY REVIEW:

Jett Avery was Cole Logan’s best friend.  Even if Cole was from the so called wrong side of the tracks.  It never nattered to Jett.  They had been friends since they were young boys.

One day Cole’s little sister Nikki who always chased after them to be included never wanting to be left out, always wanting to be included.  She all of a sudden looked like a real girl.  She sported a new or at least new to her, bikini bathing suit and that was all it took.  Jett was a goner, even though he tried not to let it show.   By acting in different he also befriended her.

Then their dad died and their mother fell ill.  Which changed the dynamics of the family.  Cole had to become the bread winner as well as a father figure to Nikki which was a lot of pressure not to mention see his baby sister not only go to school, be called all kinds of foul names, but have to care for their terminally ill mother.  Causing Cole to have a drinking problem for a while.

When their mother died she knew she had to leave even though she knew she was in love with Jett.  She knew she wasn’t good for him.  So, she borrows money and leaves without anyone knowing.  She feels its better that was now she has come home to pay the piper.

This is an overview but let me tell you there is so much more.  You will find yourself laughing out loud and other times tearing up.  The only bad thing for me is I felt like the ending was rushed.  The whole handcuffs gag could have been expanded.  But oh well it was still overall it was a very good read.  Provided by netgalley.com

ONCE A SEAL

Once a Seal by Anne Elizabeth  It's going to take a SEAL's strength to make this marriage work

Every woman dreams of marrying the perfect man-handsome, thoughtful, strong, and sensitive -and Aria Kavanagh believes she's found the ultimate hero in Chief Petty Officer Daniel McCullum. But being a U.S. Navy SEAL wife is a serious challenge, especially when the missions are putting more than their love in the line of fire. Can they jump the hurdles and handle the daily rigors without falling apart? Or will the pressures attached to the handsome uniform have them both questioning if their dedication is worth it? Every moment matters when the only thing that truly lasts is love.

MY REVIEW:

Aria’s mom and dad died in a car accident when she was a young girl, they were hit by a drunk driver.  Her mom dying after she was taken to the hospital and she gave birth to Aria’s baby brother, which Aria helped raise with her single uncle.  Unfortunately, her mother passed after giving birth to Jimmy who is now 14.

When she went off to college in San Diego she was an excellent student with high honors as an Ad Executive which she loved and so she stayed.  This is where she meets and falls in love with Dan.  Dan is a Navy S.E.A.L. stationed there in San Diego.  It was a whirlwind romance in a month they were married.  Then wow does life change.

Try getting to know one another when one is leaving at the drop of a hat, gone for god knows how long, you moved on base, you have a job and a sexy ass husband you really are trying to get to know and be understanding about his job and know you love with all your heart and soul.  Oh yeah, did I mention regular life tries to step in too?

Now let me warn you I almost walked away from this book because the first 45 pages or it seemed after he got there for the wedding was all about them and their wedding night and them having a less than 24 hour sex fest.  Just when I was thinking about it, it gets really interesting.  So, don’t stop, keep reading the sex part is not over the top it is a couple who really love one another working toward the same goal in a relationship and a long marriage is their goal.  Provided by netgalley.com
