 Jerome Kersey

Who Played Pro Basketball from 1984-2001.  Mainly with the Portland Trail Blazers from 1984-1995.  He passed away February 18, 2015 from a blood clot after having surgery.  Surgery was out patient days before.  The clot they say went from his calf and moved up to his lungs.  I mention this because I have had two knee surgeries and on my second one my calf was starting to itch and looked like a bug bite.  I went into my family doctor who immediately said it looks like a blood clot is forming and had blood work done right away.
I forgot the name of the test but my numbers were high and I was put on blood thinners right away.  Here was an athlete that this happened to and just a surgery that is done hundreds of times a day just in the U.S. alone.  So, if you think there is a problem go in I am glad I did.

  2. now we move om to Derrick Rose who is having is second knee operation and i do not envy him. a meniscus tear is nothing to laugh about. for my second surgery i did not know i had torn mine until the MRI but by then i had caused a lot of damaged. he diffidently will feel it more when he gets older as well. i have a lot more understanding now after having mine.

  3. Kentucky just keeps on winning 28 straight games they are really something to watch. they also play very good defense and actually get better in the second half, that is scary.

  4. the Kings in hockey are on a winning streak of eight straight which is putting them right their back in the playoffs. no team has won more than eight straight games in the NHL this year.

  5. Cleveland beat Golden State tonight 110-99 and now have won 18 of their last 20. they are starting to look like a championship team. with all of the talk about Love not working or fitting in their he is averaging 16.9 points 10.4 rebounds and 2.3 asst a game after 55 games those are good numbers in my book.
