Jordan Spieth won the U.S. Open this past weekend and has now won both the Masters & The Open.  Next up the British Open.

For me though the story was how Jason Day fought through vertigo after collapsing Thursday afternoon.  By Friday he was tied for the lead, but by Sunday he was slowing slipping from the leaders.  From someone who has vertigo my hat is off to him to continue at all for the rest of the weekend and be in contention.  He may not have won the tournament but he did win a fan.

  1. The NBA is still going on tonight and I cannot believe that the NY Knicks drafted Porzingis out of Latvia, when they could have gotten Willie Cauley Stein. Who i actually saw play and thought he was okay at #4 but no they go European. Could be wrong and i hope i am but i think they missed. Just my take.

  2. The other day when Max Scherzer, threw his no hitter he was so close to a perfect game, but lost that by hitting a batter in the 9th. At least he still got the no hitter. Second this year.

  3. I still cannot believe after all of these months that people are still talking about the Brady suspension. Other it will be reduced or just taken away all together.

  4. I am still surprised how i am looking forward to football season getting started. I do like watching baseball but mostly now when the playoffs start. Just seems kind of slow right now.

  5. Looks like the Knicks made a trade to get a Point guard from Notre Dame for Tim Hardaway Jr. Hopefully this will work out for them.

  6. In the college baseball finals Virginia upset Vanderbilt who had won it last year and was favored this year to win. This is Virginia's first title in baseball.

  7. In Green Bay a former personnel director passes away, his name was Pat Peppler, he ran Lombardi's drafts from 64 through 69 and was with the Packers until 72 when he left because he was tired of working for Devine. He went on to Miami as their director of pro scouting. He was part of the 65 championship team two Super Bowls with the Packers and two with the Dolphins. He also was recommended by Lombardi to the executive committee to replace him as general manger saying it was to big of a job to be coach and GM. The board made Bengtson both.
