SINCLAIR JUSTICE                                         COLLEEN SHANNON

Ranger Proud, Ranger Strong...

Texas Rangers swear to uphold the law to the letter. But Captain Ross Sinclair isn't about to play by the rules to destroy a major human trafficking cartel—especially now that the only chance to break this case just strode into his life with attitude as long as her gorgeous legs. Heiress Emm Rothschild is taking names and raising hell as she searches for her abducted sister and niece. And the evidence this wild-child turns up sets off a lethal chain of events—challenging Ross to keep her reckless determination and seductive daring up close and dangerously personal.

Now a blindsiding betrayal has Emm heading straight into harm's way. And Ross will have to put his badge and career on the line to get justice—and prove to the woman he loves that a Ranger's word is a forever bond.

HUBBY'S REVIEW:

Captain Ross Sinclair is pulling out from his ranch and is surprised by the speed of the car that just raced by. EMM Rothschild can’t believe it when she sees the flashing lights and does not remember passing a police car. After stopping she realizes that it is the truck that she saw coming from the side road. After a few words she has now become indignant because the Ranger is giving her a lecture while arresting her, but she does notice the cigar in his pocket and tells him to light it up. Ross does not know that he has now just arrested the woman that will be causing him headaches, and heartaches for???? You see she is supposed to look at a building in town that is owned by his family for renovation or destruction. She also took this job in San Antonio to be closer to the border because her sister and niece were kidnapped and she is going to look for information since the authorities have found nothing. Later that first night she shows up at his ranch and offers an apology by giving him a box of the cigars that he smokes and does not mind if he smokes one now. He is hooked and it only gets worse by the next morning when they tour the building. Both of them working together is driving the sexual attraction and heat to a boiling point and by the time he figures out that he loves her his family has put a kibosh on it but not on his feelings for her, but now he can’t find her which means she has taken things really into her own hands and now has put herself in danger. Can he find her to tell her his true feelings, and will she still be alive? Read the book to find out. I got this book from netgalley. I gave it 4 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com

BLADE OF THE DESTROYER (The Last Bucelarii: Book 1)

BLADE OF THE DESTROYER                          ANDY PELOQUIN

The Hunter of Voramis is the perfect assassin: ruthless, unrelenting, immortal. Haunted by lost memories, he is bonded to a cursed dagger that feeds him power but denies him peace of mind. Within him rages an unquenchable need for blood and death.
When he accepts a contract to avenge the stolen innocence of a girl, the Hunter becomes the prey. The death of a seemingly random target sends him hurtling toward destruction, yet could his path also lead to the truth of his buried past?

HUBBY'S REVIEW:

Blade of The Destroyer, is a Dark Fantasy. I normally do not read these books, but I met the author so I thought I would give it a shot. I am not disappointed at all. The Hunter who is a contract killer is set up under a ruse of a man saying his granddaughter was violated, and because of that her mother his daughter also died. The Hunter sets outs to find the person and to kill that person. This leads to a series of events in his life that takes the story into a direction that I did not see coming. Full of suspense, intrigue, deception, mystery, and yes murder. He is a hit man. The character, The Hunter has many different levels and you actually experience the character grow as the story goes along. This was just one of things I liked about the book. Other characters have equal depth and a view surprise you as far as good and evil. The city of Voramis is describe in a way that you can see it in your mind. He also gives you a description of a series of tunnels under the city that has a feel of an ancient town with a new city built over it. Other than maybe weapons being used you do not know what or where you are when reading this book. That for me is just one reason why it made this story so good. It was a story with some dark moments, but also one of hope, trying to find oneself, and trying to overcome a wrong. A very, very good book. With excellent characters.
