This book is a quick read and a fun book. Fallon O’Connor is looking forward to going to California to a culinary school to be a pastry chef. Her friends are telling her she does not need to leave because she is already doing good business with what she is baking and she could not learn anything else from the school that she doesn’t already know. Having those same thoughts she just feels that this is what she needs to do. That is until the night that sheriff Brad Fulton walks her to her truck and gives her a kiss that rocks her world. She is wondering why now? Here she is planning on leaving and now he is showing interest in her. Brad aka the Boy Scout has been wanting to make a play for her since he moved back into town but could never pick the right time, so he figured if he didn’t do it then he would never do it. Now he has to talk her into going out with him on a date and as much as she does not want to she does. After a moment in a storage closet at her place of work, maybe longer than a moment she is left with a dilemma. To leave or to stay? She wants to be with him but she also wants pastry school.
