In this book, hockey player Ben Westmore, who is also a player off the ice thinks it is a joke as he is looking at a marriage certificate. It has to be, but no he is told by is lawyer-agent that what he is looking at is real. That his trip to Vegas that was for a hockey game he also got married. Now he has a meeting with her attorney to come to terms to end the marriage. Olivia Davis has decided that since she has no man in her life and none in the forcible future it is time to take matters into her own hands and goes to a fertility clinic before starting the case for her new client who is divorcing a hockey player. Her problem comes in that she was not expecting Ben Westmore to be so agreeable to all of the terms, and does he need to be charming as well, and there is that big problem of being good looking and for some reason, she is feeling attracted to him. Now she feels that her career is in jeopardy. She decides that he is just putting on some kind of charm to try to get out of paying whatever it is he needs to. He then does the unthinkable and goes full penalty kill mode to let her know that he is a different man and that he wants to be with her and only her. Once she finds out more about her client and what really happened and yet he is still willing to help her and her son she is becoming more, and more taken by Ben.
