Aim (Circle of Justice #3)

AIM                                                                    LP DOVER

When someone asks what I do for a living, I answer it plain and simple . . . I’m a hunter. I hunt the dregs of society and I’m very damn good at it.

Do I like to kill people? No, but it’s part of my job.

I’m Ian Chandler, FBI agent and a member of the Circle of Justice, an organization of justice seeking vigilantes. My mission is to solve a string of ‘accidental’ hiking deaths occurring around my Wyoming town. When Grace Myers –a woman who’s been missing for days –shows up on my land, it turns out she’s the key to it all. Someone is hunting her, and I make it my duty to keep her safe.

However, the deeper I get into the case, the more dangerous it becomes; especially, now that I’ve fallen for the woman I have to protect. If hunting is the game, I won’t fail. I always hit my mark.

PAT'S REVIEW

This book has murder, mystery, suspense, and romance. Ian Chandler and two of his brothers belong to a special part of the FBI that hunts the bad guys that get away. After finishing an assignment he gets a call from the local police chief of his home town in Montana saying that Grace Myers has disappeared. They also find out that other people have disappeared as well. Now, Grace has woken up from being knocked out and recognizes the one voice in the barn with her and he tells her that they are going to kill him than her. First, they let them go and then they hunt them down, like animals. When the person comes for him she does not know the voice but the man that was with her is gone shortly. Later she hears her boss from the hotel that she worked at talking to the one in charge and then her boss is no longer alive. While they are dealing with him she makes her escape and once in the woods as luck would have it she goes in the direction of Ian’s ranch. It is also the opposite direction of all of the other people who have escaped in the past. Almost two days later she is discovered on Ian’s ranch and he takes her in his home gets her cleaned up and tells her that they are going to let people continue to think she is gone for the investigation. She finds out that the reason she does not see him around town all of the time is that he is an FBI agent, she also finds out that the one time they were together with a group of people he enjoyed the kiss as much as she did. Now they are able to explore those feelings as well as continue along with his brother in investigating the disappearances. You as the reader are taken for a ride as to who and how many people can be involved. The person in her case was a surprise for me, but at the end, all of the cases are solved which is good. You also get their continued love between Ian and Grace which adds nicely to the story. Overall a good book. I got this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars.
