PAT'S REVIEW

Angela Holguin has traveled to Barcelona for a semester to work on her final MBA. She is from California and you are taken through her journey there from the people that she meets and the adventures that she would like to experience also besides school. Her roommate is Charlene, African American and also from the U.S. and she is married and her husband has stayed in the states and will make a visit once in the story. You meet Enzo, Rikard, Marco, Rolfe, and of course Soren Lund from Denmark who is in his first year of studies but has been taken by Angela from the first day he saw her and though she likes him neither two shall be together. She ends up with another guy Thomas a Scotsman, who she actually asks out and spends the rest of her time with until she leaves. Summer comes and she comes to London now and through some strange happening's she is not staying with Thomas. She calls around the friends that are in London for dinner and Soren is the only one who makes plans for her and she is actually happy. He remembers that she is part Chinese and picks an excellent Chinese restaurant and They have a good night. They decide to become a couple and she breaks it off with Thomas and you see in one way a different side of Soren but he is at times still not as expressive with his feelings when talking about Angela especially with one of his co-workers.There is a very good recipe at the end of the book that was made by Angela in the story sharing her Mexican heritage, and I also liked the scene in the Italian restaurant one about how people have changed some of the Italian recipes, but this was more traditional being Italian I can relate. There is also a good scene with Thomas where you think Soren is finally stepping up but then later in the story he reverts back to his old self.Even though it settles the author blends the different cultures in a way that is not noticeable. Once You really get going into the flow of the story and it ends. That is my only problem with this story is that it is 4 parts right now and I don’t know if it is going to be more than that. Being asked by the author to read the book which I don’t mind for me this is the only drawback because I read so many books and I can’t remember to looking for another part. I know that this is my hang up. I am still giving it 4 stars because, for the most part, I like it but I wanted something more from Soren, maybe that is me as well but I’m thinking in this day and age if a guy likes a women he needs to tell her, show her or she will move on, again just me. A good beginning story but I do know there are 4 parts. 4 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com
