| The second book in the series and we met Shane Marlow deputy sheriff and Denver his German Shepard in the first book. He is wanting to go through each day without being noticed as a hero as he was described years ago in the local paper. Seeing a woman slip and fall at the county courthouse he goes to help her up and gather her items and he is taken by her beauty. Becca Gable cannot feel any more embarrassed about this day and how her life has turned out. Now seeing and being helped by a handsome Deputy. She can only wish she could get back into dating after her fiancé dumped her. Shane ends up going to her home later that evening because he found her driver’s license, and this begins little runs in until they finally go on a date. They each have secrets that have not shared with others including their close friends. They find that they are good for each other and Denver really takes to her. When letters appear at her work, home, and he figures that she is being stalked they must figure out who is doing it and why? A very good story with good love scenes and a little bit of mystery.
