I really wanted to like this book. I have read this author before, so I was looking forward to it. The problem I had is that it just didn’t work for me. I did finish the book and there are moments that the two main characters Kian who is a surgeon, and Roxie who is a former girlfriend of four years ago. Are now put together again because after she left Kian her sister had a one night stand with Kian and became pregnant. Now four years later as she is dying in the hospital that Kian works in he is finding this out, and later Roxie finds out that Kian the man she walked away from is her niece’s father. Now there are problems but for me, I cannot see an HEA. Well, I am a guy so there you have it. Besides at times, Kian is an arrogant jerk, to put it mildly. They do have bedroom scenes which are hot and steamy, but overall I just felt off with the story. the characters surrounding everyone were good though.
