HER FAKE ENGAGEMENT

HER FAKE ENGAGEMENT                   GIGI GARRETT
No artists, no smokers, no men with beards… Manhattan real estate broker Lottie Langerman feels confident that if she follows her long list of dating rules, she’ll meet The One and her life will unfold exactly as planned. Everything changes when her best friend decides to throw a fake bachelorette party—just to see what all the fuss is about—and Lottie reluctantly agrees to play the role of bride-to-be for a night.
Faking an engagement turns out to be more fun—and trouble—than Lottie could have imagined. Not only does her dream man think she’s taken, but Lottie keeps running into bearded Brooklyn jewelry designer Tyler, who breaks every single one of her rules...yet manages to get under her skin like no one else. Soon, Lottie finds herself at a crossroads where she must decide: Play it safe—or ditch the rules and follow her heart?
A HeroesandHeartbreakers.com Original Novella!
This is a story full of angst.  Three college friends and a new roommate, get together to have a fake bachelorette party.  Originally, thought to help Elsa May the only one married in the bunch have a little fun when she came to Manhattan.  Lottie Langerman her old roommate is a by the rules girl really doesn’t want to but does for her.
They soon talk to their other friend Mia and her new roommate Jane into it too.  Really, Jane a professor at NYU invites herself.  She thought it would make a great case study for women’s studies.  Jane is a feminist or so they thought.  They find out on these, as Jane calls them, social experiments, that they are all different deep down in their being.
Lottie always saw Mia as the girl that was always on.  Everyone’s friend.  The star of the party.  Could date anyone was and is always on social media for the latest fashion.  But like Lottie once she lost her true love, it rocked her world.  Two years, later and she is still fluttering around but not dating.
Elsa May finds herself knocked up and pregnant without blinking that baby is nine months old.  She hasn’t taken the bar exam.   This is a story full of angst.  Three college friends and a new roommate, get together to have a fake bachelorette party.  Originally, thought to help Elsa May the only one married in the bunch have a little fun when she came, into Manhattan.  Lottie Langerman her old roommate is a by the rules girl really doesn’t want to but does for her.

Elsa May finds herself knocked up and pregnant without blinking that baby is nine months old.  She hasn’t taken the bar exam for the law after all.  She is living with the in-laws in Connecticut in the high life.  Now she is a mom in yoga pants with the burp-up on her shoulders.  Yet, as mundane as that as being a mom is she loves Birdie and her hubby, Thad.
Lottie has these rules and on her night as a bachelorette, she meets Tyler King Custom Jewelry Designer with a beard and he smokes.  All the things on her list that are no-nos.  Yet, there is something about him she can’t shake.  It could be that he is openly flirting with her that gets her thinking.  But when she runs into him again and he’s still flirting it doesn’t help.
Cute story of how men and women tend to see each other in stereotypical roles.  How we put ourselves in such roles too.  How when we think we’re helping it may not always be it has to be in a person’s own time frame not push into someone else’s time frame.  I give this: 4 stars.  Provided by netgalley.com.  Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com.
