SHE WHO DARES                                 JANE O'REILLY
Posted: July 26, 2013

She Who DaresThe Ugly Duckling meets Top Gear when a plain Jane mechanic comes face-to-face with the bad boy of rally racing...

Nic Sinclair spends most of her time hiding under the bonnet of a car. With her obsession with engines, a total lack of feminine wiles, and a stepsister who looks like Barbie, she understands that it’s the safest place to be.

But when Nic’s stepsister sells her half of their vintage car business and does a runner, Nic is forced to set down her wrench and deal with the fallout. Soon she’s engaged in a battle of wills with her new business partner, superstar rally driver Sebastian Prince — a battle he dares her to win.

MY REVIEW:

Nic (Nicola) and her stepsister Ella are left the auto body shop that belonged to Ella's father that Nicola just loves having. You see Nic's mom married Ella's father when Nic was 14 during that time in her life when it mattered who she was and that you did not fit in with your peers. Poor Nic was the tomboy and Ella the swan not just any swan the Barbie doll of all Barbie’s not just all the guys loved by girls alike. Nic just couldn't win so she did what came natural to her she worked with Ella's dad side by side refurbishing old cars to their glory days. When Ella's father passed he left the girls equal parts in the business and it was working Nic did the work and Ella used her charm to sell the cars and office skills to take care of the office. Until that faithful day when Nic finds that note that says she (Ella) is not coming back and that she has sold the business (at least her half.) Nic is in a tail spin she can't believe it. She has been the brains and the head of her kingdom since he stepdad died and now she was going to have to fight someone over her own domain, great. After four weeks nothing and then the one day she closes part of the morning to get her hair done he rolls up and starts snooping around and she sees him from the salon across the street but when he slips into the Corvette she left park out front of the business and she realizes that she left the keys in it, foil in her hair and all, she runs out to stop him and the car. With her body if she has to. To her surprise they know each other, he is the famous race car driver and Ella's ex who she has secretly lusted over for years Sebastian Prince. When they make eye contact he doesn't even know who she is and even ask for Ella. This is not what she was expecting so she acts like she is someone else and she says that Ella is not there and he says that he will be back at 2:00. At 2:07 so starts a roller coaster of a fun and exciting love story with a lot of serious emotion. It has serious issues that both characters must deal with from their past that is handle very nicely and they have great sexual chemistry and a lot of funny, sad and erotic moments. I will have no problems telling you, you will love it I am sure. PROVIDED BY NETGALLEY

LOVE, TECHNICALLY                          LYNNE SILVER
Posted: July 26, 2013

Love, Technically by Lynne SilverBillionaire CEO and computer whiz Noah Frellish is a king among geeks. Women are attracted to his money, but he'd love to meet someone who's actually interested in him. When he helps the sweet and sexy Michelle Kolson with a printing problem, she confuses him for a help desk technician. Noah knows he should clear up this case of mistaken identity, but would she still like him if she knew he was the boss?

Michelle thinks life in Chicago is perfect, as is the whirlwind romance with her smoking-hot coworker. When she unexpectedly finds her job on the chopping block and the man she fell headfirst into bed with running the company, will she abandon her dreams?

Noah must convince the small-town girl to stay in the big city—and that he really is the man she fell for.

MY REVIEW:

This was a very cute story the characters were very endearing and fun to follow along. They were not what I was expecting I thought this was going to be a story about just geeks falling in love but it had more depth than I thought. It was about Michelle who goes to Chicago from Iowa. Leaving her life and the guy she had dated all through high school Brad. Everyone back home thought for sure they were going to get married. She worked at her parents store for most of her life and just could not take it. So, with just her high school diploma in hand she left for Chicago to find her dream or at least her adventure away from Iowa. Because she was not going to end up at Walmart working for McQueenie where the wicked head cheerleader from high school was now the manager. No way was that ever going to happen so she was so glad when she landed a job with the Eco-friendly company LiteWave. Her first week on the job and she already meets a handsome man when he helps her with the printer. He even takes her to coffee his name Sark "that's what all my friends call me" (aka Noah Frellish). Oh, by the way did I happen to mention the owner of the company is Noah Frellish? Yeah, and so does Sark. You see his company just went public and Michelle is treating him so much like he is no one special just himself that he finds it refreshing and real. But he also knows by talking with her that he is talking to someone who is not use to the big city not that he is because what does he know he's a geek. So, after a few days he leaves her a note saying who he is but gets distracted and when he goes to sign his name he only gets the "S" out so she still doesn't know who he is but he thinks she does and act and talks as it. So you get my drift. I had a fun time reading this and think you will to. This turns out having a comedy full of errors that will have you smiling. Provided by NetGalley
