CHRISTMAS WITH THE BILLIONAIRE RANCHER

CHRISTMAS WITH THE BILLIONAIRE RANCHER         MANDY BAXTER

In Christmas with the Billionaire Rancher by Mandy Baxter, there's nothing Nate Christensen hates more than a golddigger. Nate wants to stay away from all the women who want his money. That is, until he meets the sexy, beautiful Chloe Benson, who lights a fire in his blood that only the most passionate nights can ease...

Chloe cannot get enough of Nate-she's never felt more wild with desire in her life. The only problem is, she needs Nate's money. True, it's for a very worthy charity...but is their passion enough to still Nate's fears that she's only wants him for how big his bank account is?

MY REVIEW:

Hate is a powerful emotion but that is the only thing the Christensen men felt for their father and now he is dead.  Once their mother had died so did the love they received from their father.  His father also believed that they were to be given nothing that they needed to earn their own way like he did.
So they did.  All four boys hightailed it away from him and made a name for themselves.  Although Nate didn’t really think he did since he doesn’t make millions or billions like the three other brothers being in the military for so long and never going to college.  But he did own a ranch but he only had $700.00 in his bank account.  As if serving our country which protects our freedoms was nothing.  Not just that he comes home with a warped sense of the world.  Especially when his father dies leaving his boys all his money.  Making all the brothers return for the circus called a funeral to most.  Put on by people he called friends but his sons called fakes.  The biggest joke of all was the trophy wife who cried the fake tears but made it known she was unhappy she only got the house, all the cars, and the money in her account.
Things were looking pretty grim when Chloe Benson walks in to pay her respects.  You see none of the brothers wanted their father’s money including Nate but they didn’t want to give it to a gold-digger like their current ex-stepmother.  Although Chloe had originally showed up to talk to Nate about helping her charity organization that provides sports programs for underprivileged and at-risk kids.  Once he expressed his dislike of gold-diggers she knew she needed to do more research on Nate.  Because as he stated she needed to know her target.  She now knew that Christensen men had disdain for people looking for a handout.
Yet at the same time he knew and she knew they had a connection.  It may only be sexual but she had to hold out for more.  A girl had to hold out for more right?  She visits for a while longer and realizes that the banter is making her all too horny.  She decides to cut her losses before she says and does something that could not only cause her embarrassment but because her charity to have to shut down in December.  She says she’s once again sorry for his lose and leaves before he can really have time to react.
She heads for the coat closet in the hotels ballroom to look for her coat and her mind is racing.  Chastising herself for coming so close to putting herself and the foundation in a bad place.  When without hearing him enter but feeling his presence and then his heat was at her back and she knows it’s him.  He leans in close and basically says, he wants to screw her brains out.  She very calmly ask, here in the coat closet in the chair in the corner or will he be taking her to his bed?  After their time together he wakes to only find her first name and number by the side of the bed.  Part of him is disappointed that she is gone but then he said it was just a one night stand.  The note when found he said per his rule for one night stands no names, no numbers, and no expectations.  Yet, he was still felt a sense of contentment to have it.
Well, they both need each other to fulfill a void.  Him to quiet the voices that haunt him in his dreams and more and more during the day?  He found in that one night she was easy to talk to.  For her she can meet the need to serve her foundation and the kids that have stolen her heart and most of all her passion, until him.  Is the foundation enough anymore or does he hold that passions she has been searching for?
I enjoyed this erotica it was sexy but not too overly graphic.  Just enough to make you want more on both counts.  There was a passion you felt between the two characters for sure.  I give this 5 stars.  Provided by netgalley.com.  Follow us at:

SAND DOLLAR COVE

SAND DOLLAR COVE                                     NANCY NAIGLE

Sand Dollar CoveGrowing up, Elli Eversol spent nearly every summer in Sand Dollar Cove at her grandparents’ beach house, working at their shops on the old fishing pier. After a hurricane and a Nor’easter damage the pier and the shops nearly beyond repair, Elli returns to town to help rebuild. She even launches the Buy-A-Board campaign to raise funds for the plight. Holden Moore is back in Sand Dollar Cove, too. He broke Elli’s heart years ago, but he’s pulling every Romeo trick in the book to win her back now. Yet there’s more to Holden’s agenda, and it doesn’t include saving the pier.

Brody Rankin is eager to scout the location for his company’s new mega-warehouse near a quaint North Carolina beach town. The online request for handyman assistance for the Buy-A-Board campaign in Sand Dollar Cove gives him the perfect reason to head to the east coast, check out the area, and contribute to a good cause. He’d only have to leave half of his playboy-surfer lifestyle behind for a little while—there are plenty of waves in the Atlantic. But when he meets Elli Eversol, she really gets the surf up, and he’s tempted to toss his playboy ways out with the tide.

MY REVIEW:
Elli Eversol used to spend every summer at her grandparents beach home in Sand Dollar Cove, North Carolina at Sol Mate.  Her grandparents own a shop on the pier that she would help with.  That pier and stores mean a lot to them her great granddaddy built it all.  That is where her granddad met her grandma.  She was always so proud of the fact that her great granddaddy had a part in the whole pier experience as well as her grandparents.
The year she went off to college was a terrible summer.  She had been madly in love with Holden Moore that summer the local surfer boy.  She would work at the store in the morning and watch him surf the afternoons away.  Then he got accepted to Harvard and he told her even a girl as cute as her couldn’t hold him back or keep him down in this one-horse town.  She was crushed.  Not to mention that was the summer that her grandfather passed away.  Water under the bridge as her grandfather would say.  Her life went on except she’s measured every guy to Holden.
Now she is home for a visit because after a hurricane and then a Nor’easter it took out most of the bridge and all of the businesses pretty much.  Soo Elli started fundraising campaign to rebuild the shops on the pier.  In very short time they had doubled that amount.
They asked for a craftsman that could engrave each piece of wood for the donors who paid $250.00.  They got five offers but they chose Brody Rankin.  Not only did he have the time but he could fly himself out.  If they would just give him a place to stay.  Walla!  Brody no one knows is a wealthy California businessman who owns a chain of box stores.  We’ll have to see where that goes right?  But Nana Eversol has matchmaking plans for this Adam Levine look alike.
But wait while having breakfast the next morning with her BFF Pam, when who walks into Pam’s Spa & Resort & Restaurant?  None other than Holden Moor.  Pam says she forgot to tell her that he moved back into town.  She is not happy.  First Pam doesn’t tell her that Pam and her husband are getting a divorce.  Now she doesn’t tell her that her ex-boyfriend has moved back into town.  Upon seeing him she doesn’t know whether to be happy or be mad seeing him again.
What does Pam do she calls him over to the table to say hello and let him know that Elli is in town.  Elli wants to kill her.
Can Elli keep all the balls in the air?  She arrives back home after 5 years and on the first day she is confronted by her ex-boyfriend who dumped her.  He starts campaigning hard to get her out on a date.  She goes then all-out war begins.  Brody is there to help her pick up the pieces to keep her grandparents love story alive.  Is Brody friend or foe?  Guess you’ll have to read it to find out if they have 20/20 or not.
I totally enjoyed this story.  It was up lifting and romantic.  Yet just enough conflict.  I loved Nana.  I give this 5 stars.  Provided by netgalley.com.  Follow us at:

TEAM NIKLAS

TEAM NIKLAS                                                ALLY ADAMS

In his hometown of Berlin, Germany, Niklas Wagner is a super star and when the Saints’ pay the big bucks to sign him up and bring him to Santa Ana, California, Nik takes a shine to his new life. When he meets the Saints’ media officer, Sasha Saxon, sparks fly literally.

But Sasha is not your average girl—by day she is a journalist who looks after the media for the national champion soccer team and at night she designs for her personal fashion label. She had big dreams and they don’t include a boyfriend. Nik has never had to chase the girls but now he has met his match—Sasha is about to lead him on the biggest chase of his life.

MY REVIEW:
Ally Adams knows how to spin a story.  I just loved this one.  Having adoptions all around me I got it.  This was thoughtfully written.  Sasha Saxon, 23, a media officer for the Saints a Santa Ana, California Pro Soccer team by day.  But at night she is a clothing designer with her own clothing line she sells on the internet.  She is in a good place in her life she has a great job in a field she loves.  Giving her the means to do more with her designing because the staff and even the players come to her for things to have made or altered when it comes to their clothing.
This is where she starts to really get to know the team’s newest recruit Niklas Wagner, 23, from Berlin, Germany.  He was recommended to her by her coworker Alice who happens to be Nik’s roommate and Tomas’, the team goalies’, girlfriend.  Yeah, small circle of friends.  They are tight.
The thing is not to many people know that much about Nik.  Oh!  Although Alice did over hear at a bar one time when the players were there after a game some soccer bunnies were there and one said Nik was a slow and sensitive lover.  Not much to go on and since Sasha’s divorce was soon to be final.  She would have to say that after almost a year and a half slow and sensitive would kill her right now.
Anyway the whole time Nik was over for his fitting all he could talk about was taking her out on Friday night for dinner.  She said she would think about it, when she knew she would say no the whole time.  Even when she wholeheartedly wanted to say, “YES!”  Nik was tall 6’3’’, short blonde hair, blue eyes, and muscles for days.  When checking his inseam was any indication “Oh Boy she was in TROUBLE.”  When she told him to go change back into his street close no sooner did she start cleaning up did he call her in to help with something.
She thought it was him just trying to get her into bed so she was taking her time when he called out again, more urgently.  She said yeah that she was coming.  But the third time he called she knew something was off.  She walks in to the room and he is as pale as a ghost.  He has his hand to his face and there is blood everywhere.  She gives him a towel holds his nose then he says he can do it but he still doesn’t look right so she goes and gets ice and calls the team doctor.  When he gets there and checks him he sees he has low blood pressure and he hadn’t eaten.  The next thing she knew the paramedics were taking him away.  Doc said more than likely an overnight stay was in order.
The next morning she arrived to work with his suit that she altered, his tennis shoes, jeans, and shirt.  Alice was there already and she was wondering what Sasha had done to her roommate?  Sasha had to explain.  Then Lucas and the Russian his teammates wanted to know why she had broken their teammate.  Each time her and Nik were in each other presences things would go wrong.  She thought they were jinxed.  His crush for her was so big he wouldn’t take no for an answer.

See why this relationship with Sasha was so important to Nik and so scary to Sasha.  The chemistry of the two characters is great and I love the banter of all the characters but the Russian is so funny in all the stories.  I give this 5 stars.  Provided by netgalley.com.  Follow us at:  www.1rad-readerreviews.com

You can't hide from love...or revenge.

Dodge Loving wants revenge…and he’s about to get it. On the cusp of closing a multi-billion-dollar luxury resort deal, Dodge can’t afford for anything go wrong. But then a fiery redhead shows up, the paparazzi hot on her trail, and throws his world into chaos. He has to get rid of her. Immediately.

Harper Conner just wants to be left alone, but after slapping her cheating senator ex-husband during a televised press conference, she's a hot commodity. The ultra exclusive resort in Wyoming seems like the ideal place to hide—and work—so there’s no way she’s letting the Type-A jerk who runs the place fire her.

Despite the animosity sparking between them, Dodge and Harper can’t keep their hands to themselves. This thing between them can’t happen. It won’t. But his mother has other ideas…and she’s willing to do whatever it takes to make sure Harper and Dodge fall in love.

If Harper Conner couldn’t hide from the world in a library in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming and figure out how to become a new and improved version of herself, then she needed to hand in her ninja card—and she wasn’t about to do that any time soon, at least not until the ink dried on her newly signed divorce papers.
So she’d work, plot, and plan in the library. Cataloging and authenticating the more than two hundred books in The Retreat’s cowboy library could take a ton of time, but she’d only been hired for two weeks. It wasn’t as long an escape as she wanted, but it still allowed plenty of time for the world to forget what a naive idiot she’d been, so when she went back to Washington they’d see her as the tougher, ballsier version she’d become. Not that everyone would accept the new her, which she knew from the near daily reminders from her mother, who never met a blatant spousal infidelity she could ignore.
But alone with the musty scent of old books and the light filtering in from the floor-to-ceiling windows at The Retreat’s library, Harper could escape and plan her transformation. Books had always been her safe haven, and the job offer from May Loving couldn’t have come at a better time. She settled into her chair, several tall stacks of books hiding her from view, and she eased open a small leather-bound journal. The writing was faded and cramped with a few girlish curlicues that gave away the writer’s gender, if not her devilish nature.
Belle Starr had earned her nickname The Bandit Queen. She’d rustled cattle, stolen horses, and bootlegged whiskey on the western frontier, thumbing her nose at authority for years before dying in an ambush, killed by her own double barreled shotgun.
“Ain’t life a bitch?” she muttered to herself.
“You have no idea,” a male voice said from the other side of the stacks.
Harper’s surprised yelp bounced off the high ceiling, and her heart slammed against her ribcage as she jumped up from her chair. A man stood just inside the library’s door. Tall—at least six-foot-four—he had warm brown skin, thick muscles, a movie star face and moss green eyes that sent a jolt of electricity beaming straight down to the center of her cherry red panties. He’d scared the bejesus out of her, but that didn’t account for the awareness keeping her feet nailed to the ground. Sweaty, in running clothes, and more than a little bit pissed off, he had an aura of power and danger that twisted girls up and left them begging for more. Harper inhaled a shaky breath. She might need to sit down.
“I’m Dodge Loving.” He stalked forward, all business. “Are you Harper Conner?”
That name sounded vaguely familiar. Because it’s your name, Harp. Pull it together. “Yes.”
He hesitated, seemingly searching for words on the wide hardwood planks that made up the floor, before raising his head and straightening his spine. “You’re fired.”
“What!” Her knees gave out, and she plopped down into the chair. Thank God she had plenty of padding on her ass, or the force of her crash landing might have broken her tailbone.

“You’re on the first flight out tomorrow. We’ll arrange for a car to take you there right away.” He peeked over her book wall. “How quickly can you be packed?”
