TIME: ALEXANDER HAMILTON: A Founding Father's Visionary Genius and His Tragic Fate

TIME: ALEXANDER HAMILTON         EDITORS OF TIME

His brilliance unnerved even Thomas Jefferson, and two centuries after his death in a duel, Alexander Hamilton—the handsome founding father who served as an aide to General George Washington, steered the creation of the U.S. Constitution and helmed the new Treasury Department—is as fascinating as ever. This special edition of TIME profiles the founder who has even inspired a Broadway musical. Highlights include:
The improbable life of the illegitimate son of a Caribbean merchant
The Hamilton-Jefferson rivalry and its legacy today
What provoked Hamilton’s fatal duel with Aaron Burr
The lasting influence of Hamilton on the American and world economies.

HUBBY'S REVIEW:
A good point for anyone wanting to get a glimpse into the life of Hamilton. I am reviewing this late so if you can still find a copy it is worth the reading. A good look into a forgotten founding father and his verbal combats between Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, and of course Burr. Also a small look into his time in the war with Washington and then when Washington became President. This is by no means an in depth, for that I would recommend Ron Chernow’s. If you do be prepared for quite a book in information and in pages, but it is well worth the read. Overall this publication is good. I got this book from netgalley. I gave it 4 stars.
