STORMING THE CASTLE (DALE #3)

STORMING THE CASTLE               ARIANNA HART

Sam Castleton has fame, houses all over the world, and one really big problem—he’s got an album due and he can’t write. All he wants is a quiet place to get his head straight. Dale, Georgia, seems like the perfect quiet spot to try to hear the music again and get some lyrics down on paper.

With her daughter’s paternal grandparents making a sudden appearance and the difficulties of running her own lodge and being a single mom, Faith Adams doesn’t have the time to worry about the mysterious stranger staying in one of her cottages, no matter how sexy he is.

Her newest guest may be surly, but his money is good, so she’s willing to overlook his surly nature. If only she could ignore the way he awakens a searing hunger in her…

MY REVIEW:
Sam Castleton is best known as Sam Castle hot rocker at least for the last twelve years.  Of which, most have all become a blur lately.  The last few years his tour schedule has been brutal to the point that he can’t figure out what city, town or country he’s waking up in.
Forget about what he did the night before and who he did it with.  Women were in and out of his life models, actress, waitress, and nurses.  His last girlfriend was a crazy model he was glad to be rid of but once again she was trying to make a play for him.  He had enough last go around.
When he woke up one morning and he didn’t know where he was, still semi drunk, looked like hell and felt like it too.  He knew he needed time off the roller coaster, time to himself, and away from everyone.  He got his manager to set it up.  He wanted two months so far off the beaten path no one would find him.
Well, he got it he ended up in Dale, Georgia.  At a hunting lodge run by a single mom, Faith Adams.  She’s a widow of almost six years her daughter Piper is five and starting kindergarten soon.  The place is a bed and breakfast with the main house having four rooms for guest and the other side of the house is the family side.  Then she has two of three cottages refurbished.
When his manager secures one of the little cottages it’s with the understanding that he gets total and he meant total seclusion.  He needed the kitchen fully stocked for the two months, sheets, towels, a certain type of coffee and maker, was sent to her.  She agrees.
Upon, Sam’s arrival he was instantly attracted to the five foot nothing, curvy in all the right places and an ass to die for inn keeper.  Boy, was he in trouble.  Were his first thoughts.  So, curtly he asked, “So, you will be keeping guest away from me?”
She says, “If I had any I would.  I won’t have any for a couple of weeks from now.”  He asks, “How much would you make if all of the rest of the place was rented out for the two months I was here?”  She starts trying to figure it out.  He says, “How much per room inside?  And how much per cottage?”  She tells him and then he looks at her.  Then, he looks at her and says, “So, roughly fifteen thousand.  I’ll pay you that in cash if you cancel the renters that are coming and don’t take in anyone else.”  She agrees.
Now is when life gets interesting mainly because she has no clue who he is. It kind of bruise his ego but its works in his favor too.  Her friends that pop over all the time, however, he isn’t so lucky with, however.  But they agree to keep his secret.
This was a very cute fast paced story.  The characters were engaging and funny.  Their quirky personalities keep you interested.  The sweetness of their blossoming romance unfolding was nice to see unfold.
