MY REVIEW;
This was a rather interesting storyline
for sure. Two neighbors have lived next
door to each other for a little over 5 years.
Dale Stoner, a writer and illustrates children’s books and Lauren
Spencer a very well-known artist. While
living next to one another have become fast and true friends. Helping when one is ill, taking in the mail
when the other is out of town, or things like that.
Not to mention there is a one sided love
affair that is going on. Yup! You heard me one sided. Dale has no clue that Lauren is madly in love
with him and has been since the first day she met him. She also knows he could never love her since no
other person in her life ever has. Her
father left before she knew him but her mom left her in a public place and walked
away. Then she ended up in foster care
where they only wanted her for the money.
Or her foster fathers for her 36 double D’s. He would never love her anyway because he is
still in love with a chick from back home who doesn’t love him, Nikki.
Dale Stoner comes with his own set of hang
ups. He’s in love with a girl not in
love with him. She is in her own love
story nightmare. After years of pining
over her he still screwing wannabe look alike that he picks not knowing that is
what he is doing. He picks them to try
and recreate what he had, always falling short.
Although Lauren is right in front of him great body, long black hair,
36DD breast, and yet he never really sees her.
Instead he might have two chicks at once or just one but once in a while
he ties one on when he gets a note from Nikki’s stepdaughter thanking him for
the books he sends her each time he has a new one come out.
Dale loves Lauren his best friend so much
he wants to see her happy. Once again he
fixed her up. This time on a double date
with him and his date. She’s not happy
but agrees. The guy is a golfing buddy
and a record producer. On the day the
guy becomes an octopus. At the end of
the date she says goodnight and rushes home giving him the brush off in Dale’s
yard. When this guy chases her
down. He gets handsie she says no again
and he becomes physical then she has to defend herself. Years of self-defense classes coming in
handy. Dale comes to check on her he
sees blood on her and the way she is in the defensive stance and he goes after
the guy himself. Now she is mad at Dale
too from the adrenaline rushing through her body and him being the one who
fixed her up with this jerk.
Their standoff last at least a week if not
more. See how they resolve it not too
sure it was how I would have liked to have seen it. Just know alcohol is involved and more
forceful sexual content. Talking in a
relationship very important and walking out on those you love during an argument
is never builds trust. Walk to the next
room or backyard. Driving away or flying
to another town or state causes more problems than solves. Only because of the nature of the backgrounds
of the characters did I give it the amount of stars I did. Otherwise the whining would have driven me
