Let’s Welcome Author of: After the Hurt – Shana Gray

Let’s Welcome
Shana Gray

Author of:

Rad-Reader:  When Pepper left why leave without saying anything to Tank?  She was in love with him why make him worry?

Shana:  She was distraught over her mother's death and the fact she blamed herself. Tank tried to help her, but she couldn't forgive herself and was trying to punish herself. In this state, she wasn't thinking clearly.

Rad-Reader:   Tank is afraid of being hurt—why not ask all the questions he needed answered? Ask when she offered the next day.

Shana:  His concern was opening up to her again. If he did, could she hurt him. Plus, I think he may have wanted to make her suffer a little bit for hurting him so bad.

Rad-Reader:   It seems like Meg understands the situation Pepper went through, doesn’t like what she did to her brother but understands.  Is that a fair statement?

Shana:  I'd say it is yes. She understands to a degree but will always be on her brother's side.

Rad-Reader:   Does Meg like and understand the new Pepper?

Shana:  She see's a difference in her and is wary about it. Time will tell if she truly likes and understands her!

Rad-Reader:   Does Tank want to forgive Pepper, taking her back, or is it make her pay for hurting him so badly?

Shana:   I think reading the book is a better answer. I don't want to say too much here because it is complicated.

Rad-Reader:   It seems like they both want to be justified almost with what happened and is happening.  Is that a true statement?

Shana:  Most people want to justify their actions. Especially if it causes hurt and pain to others.

Rad-Reader:   Why would Tank keep Pepper out of the loop as far as her own safety is concerned, when it comes to what is going on around the restaurant when he has not been there and he has provided no security?

Shana:  He felt he could keep her safe. They'd been through it before when he was fighting and most time is turned out to be nothing.

Rad-Reader:   Is Pepper her real birth name?

Shana:  That's a really good question! I don't know :)

Rad-Reader:   If Tank decided to go through with giving her the paperwork Meg drew up in order to get her to leave for her safety knowing she would be mad and crushed.  Did he ever expect to see her again or find her?

Shana:   He had the paperwork drawn up after Meg came back, not before. I supposed deep inside he wanted her to come back but had his doubts.

Rad-Reader:   How was he thinking he was going to open new restaurants without Pepper’s approval since she was a part owner?  She hadn’t been given legal papers yet and she hadn’t signed anything?

Shana:  He could have opened them up under his own name, without her.

Rad-Reader:   Did Christian and Meg make a Love connection that night at the grand opening?

Shana:     I think they did....did you? I want to write their story!
Rad-Reader:   If your book was going to be made into a movie who would play...

After a glitch, we were able to connect and get the interview via France.  So, I really want to thank Shana for making it a priority to get this interview in on time and taking away from her author’s retreat.  We hope you like the time and effort that Pat and Shana took in this interview.  Shanna, you too are now a 1 Rad-Reader Reviews Misfit.  Come back any time and use our Shout-Out: An Author’s Place to promo a new book.
Thanks again,
