Slammed (San Francisco Thunder #2)

SLAMMED                                                        VICTORIA DENALT

As a publicist for the San Francisco Thunder hockey team, Dixie Braddock is too busy rescuing the players from trouble to get into any of her own. Except, of course, when it comes to the super hot new goalie. Because when a guy's kiss curls your toes and sets your heart on fire, how the hell do you just walk away? But if anyone ever catches them together, she'll lose her job faster than any slapshot.
Eli Casco is on the brink of having everything he ever wanted. He's finally been called up from the minor leagues to play on a championship team. And he just had the most mind-blowing night with the woman of his dreams. But now that he's an official Thunder player, Dixie is determined to keep her distance. None of the fame and fortune means anything to him without her to share it. If he truly wants Dixie in his life, it's time to throw down his gloves and put everything on the line.

PAT'S REVIEW

The second book in this series and it was good as the first even though both were different. This one has Dixie Braddock as the teams' Publicist and is working towards a goal for her five-year plan. One of the rules of the team is no dating between employees especially the women with the players. If it is found out the female is let go nothing happens to the player of course. Now she meets a goalie from the minor league club named Eli Casco, whose brother plays for the team. Now with the club for a charity event when the two of them meet it is an instant attraction. Since he is with the minor league team they can get around the rules, that is until an injury and he is called up to the club. Now they both must decide what to do and he is also dealing with flashbacks from an injury he received in college. If he wants any chance of staying with the club he must overcome those, and they must decide if they want to be a couple. A very good story with many different issues going on, plus good hockey action. I also liked the two main characters. Overall a good book. I gave this book 5 stars.
