The Way You Love Me (Angel Falls #2)

THE WAY YOU LOVE ME                            MIRANDA LIASSON

Gabby Langdon has always tried to make people happy. She even went to law school to please her father, and now she's a highly successful-albeit bored-attorney. But Gabby secretly dreams of being a writer, so for once she does something for herself-she signs up for a writing class taught by best-selling novelist Caden Marshall. There's only one problem: her brooding, sexy professor is a distraction she can't afford if she's finally going to get the life she truly wants.
Recently divorced and suffering from the world's worst case of writer's block, Caden is in Angel Falls to get his life back on track. He's focused on teaching and providing a stable and loving home for his young daughter, Ava. The last thing he needs is to jeopardize his new job, which means keeping plenty of distance between himself and his talented new student-no matter how tempted he is by Gabby's beauty, kind heart, or the sparks that fly whenever they're together.

PAT'S REVIEW

For some reason, this story about Gabby and Cabe just felt off to me at times. I read the first book and it seemed to flow a little better. The beginning of the book has Gabby making partner at the law firm she works at, but she still feels like she is missing something. That part of the story and her relationship with her Nona I got and actually liked. Then you have Cabe you were a successful writer but because of a bitter divorce and his ex-saying, he stole her ideas for the best seller he has not been able to write again. Now moving back to his home town with his soon to be the four-year-old daughter he has taken a job as an instructor at a local college. The first meeting between Gabby and Cade is funny and good for the story as is the second one. The characters I knew from the first book but still for some reason I just felt like for me this story was off a little, that maybe Cabe was doing everything slow like the tires of Gabby bike. Around and around but really not getting anywhere. Gabby put herself out there but not him maybe that was it. The ending made up for some of the other slow parts but I was expecting a little more. now I am looking forward to Kaitlyn’s and Rafe’s story which looks really interesting. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 3 stars follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com
