THE BILLIONAIRE'S ACCIDENTAL BABY #1

THE BILLIONAIRE'S ACCIDENTAL BABY   LESLIE NORTH

Constance Bonner has spent her life like a happy butterfly, flitting from one thing to another, never truly concerned with consequences or where her life was headed. But after one unforgettable, passionate night with Brian O’Leary, her gorgeous former boss—the same boss who just fired her—her happy-go-lucky life has ground to a halt. She’s pregnant. Jobless. Facing the biggest responsibility of her life. Worse, Brian is swearing he doesn’t want to be a father and throwing non-disclosure agreements her way. And all she wants to throw is herself—at him, no matter how maddening he is.

Brian is convinced that Connie’s pregnancy is just a small hiccup on his way to becoming a billionaire. After growing up poor and watching his single mother struggle, he’s laser focused on making enough money for his entire family to finally stop struggling. He’s got the perfect, practical fiancĂ©e, a major tech deal in the works, and his goal is almost in reach. He has no room in his life for the always-cheerful Connie, who wouldn’t know how to be serious if she tried. Connie is the opposite of everything he needs in life.

But if she’s completely wrong for him, why is it so hard to resist her?

If there’s one thing Connie is serious about, it’s making Brian see that there’s more to life than making money, and that they’re meant to be a family. But convincing him of that might her biggest challenge yet.

MY REVIEW:
This was a tough call for me as far as characters.  They were all lovable except Felicia for sure.  Brian, I went back and forth on.
Here’s why I get you made a promise to yourself to meet a goal.  Okay, but dude we are talking about a child you fathered.  Need I, be the one to remind you that your pops bailed on you and that is where a lot of your hang-ups come from.  So, you find this totally okay with doing the same for the almighty dollar.
Also, your having said child with a woman you crushed over for eight months because she worked for you at the time.  So, nothing happened during that time but the minute you fired her it’s on.  She makes you laugh and that’s a bad thing, why?  Oh yeah, a billion-dollar deal.  Got yeah!  The descriptive name Meghan gave for Connie I loved.  Too cute!
I have to say when Connie finds the error and she tells Brian and he says he’s getting a second opinion and walks out.  I would have gone away and stopped returning text, calls, and answering the door.  See how he liked being iced out.
See how things are handled at the beginning with Felicia holding Brian’s nut sack set everything in play.  Showing just how weak Brian is for money.  (You’ll see how.)  She made demands he went along within a bum rush in that meeting with Connie.
Being that Connie is a pie in the sky kind of girl who wants to make a friend out of everyone she meets even her enemies.  That’s sad that Brian wasn’t looking out for her and his child properly.  He does, however, sign but still helps her.  Without dragon lady knowing.  It’s got funny quips by Connie.  Making it worth the read.  See where this boat rocks and rolls.
I give this:  4 stars.  Provided by netgalley.com.
