Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she's carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush's attention, she'll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice... even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.
...and it's going to be oh so good.
All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he's worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he's all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn't take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn't going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.
MY REVIEW:
There is no other way to say it Elle
really grabs your attention with her characters. Her jock, Garrett, played it well, but when you
see the heart he’s guarding and why you get why. He is always boasting in order
for no one to get to close at least that was before, Hannah came along.
Hannah, you think, wow what a chip and
stereotyping personality she has. She too
has a past that has been wrecked and ripped apart. Although, she has been overcoming it and she is doing really great.
Their chemistry together is TNT of the right kind.
These two are funny, serious, comically
challenging together. Most of all they
belong together if they can just get out of their own way. See, what the
other has to offer and get out of their own fears. Yet, each has things they need to face as
individuals. They learn more as they become unwilling friends that seal them
forever.
Yet, through that bond comes the trust and
love. They weren’t especially looking for it in each other, as love interests.
He was looking toward a hockey career going pro. She toward a music career as a songwriter. Plus, the reason she agreed to tutor him was
to make another guy jealous, a football player. He was, but neither of their hearts found that
he was who they wanted her to be with.
By the time he was due back from his football
away games, Garrett had stolen her heart and all. There was a dark force underfoot
who has no desire to see them together.
Making it clear it won’t be. What
will happen? I only wish there had been
an epilogue.
