|Rob Tacoma an ex-Navy Seal is brought in to take over for a CIA project after two high ranking officials are killed on the same night by who the government thinks is the Russian mafia. The person who also is supposed to work with Tacoma is also killed that his first night and with the thought that no one knows of Tacoma’s involvement he should be able to find out something. Which he does. Once you get past all of the opening parts the story takes off and you are left with an entertaining book. Taken maybe from part cold war and part mafia stories the action will keep you going and Tacoma’s character is for the most part like other books with this type of lead character, so it was a fairly quick read and the ending leaves you wanting for more which I am sure will be in the next book. Overall a good story. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com|
The Russian (Rob Tacoma #1)
THE RUSSIAN BEN COES
Unforgiving and ruthlessly violent, the Russian mafia has rapidly taken over the criminal underworld in the U.S. When a powerful family executes two high-profile American politicians, the message is obvious: opposition will be met with deadly force.
With no other viable options, the President creates a two-man clandestine assassination team to find and eliminate the bosses of this deadly criminal operation: former Navy SEALs Billy Cosgrove and Rob Tacoma.
But when Cosgrove is found dead just days later, Tacoma is on his own against an organization with endless resources and no boundaries. To find the culprits, he’ll have to take on an army.
Except in this battle, there are no limits - and no rules.
