Soon Tony is sought out by Salvatore’s father, Johnny Morano, the godfather of the Philadelphia Mafia, to help protect his son. Tony, who has admired the Italian mob from a distance, has always been fascinated by the Mafia’s power. He quickly learns that with power comes sacrifice. Tony will be forced to draw upon strength from deep within to survive his new, unwanted life. From the dark corners of his new world, Tony is driven to emerge from the fires of hell to find happiness.

Born Mobster is a haunting story of one bullied child who is deprived of love and taunted by corrupt individuals along his journey. Follow Tony through his rite of passage and experience the brutalities, murders, love, and honor that finally force Tony to become the man he was born to be.

HUBBY'S REVIEW;

This is at times a very dark and gritty story about three boys who become friends by the most unusual circumstances. Tony who the story focuses on is being bullied at school and at home by his father. It is not until one day in front of church that he loses it and beats up the bully at school. This leads them to becoming friends. It is just them until a new kid shows up at school and now he is being picked on and Tony and Vincent went to protect the new kid his name was Salvatore and it turned out that he is the son of the Philadelphia crime boss. Things are going good until an incident one and Tony takes the fall for Salvatore. He ends up in jail and what happens to him changes him forever. When he gets out he can’t go home so at 13 he is living on the streets surviving. From there the story takes you on a journey that sees him grow up, lose people along the way and back to Tony and Sal who want to help him but just don’t know how. Even after he saves the life of the son of the crime boss he is always one step behind. He does find love and acceptance through people he meets and it is those characters that make the story. Though there is violence, death it is done in a way that goes with the story and brings to understand Tony more. Overall a good book. I got this book from netgalley. I gave it 5 stars. Follow us at:
