ALWAYS FOR YOU: A Small Town Georgia Romance (Always Love #1)

ALWAYS FOR YOU                                                TAWDRA KANDLE

Come back to Burton!

If you fell in love with this quirky Georgia town in THE ONE Trilogy, you'll want to return for this trilogy and catch up with your favorite characters . . .

Maureen Evans has had a crush on Smith Harrington since they were in college together. She always knew he didn’t see her as anything more than his best friend—just one of the guys—but that didn’t stop her from weaving sexy fantasies about him.

Now, after years of maintaining a long-distance friendship, Smith’s moving to Burton, Georgia, Maureen’s hometown, to become her partner at the veterinary clinic. After all this time, she should be able to handle working with him without getting hot and bothered.

Or maybe not.

The more determined Maureen is to maintain their just-friends bond, the more Smith seems intent on testing those boundaries. And when flirting crosses the line into something more, it ends in a night neither of them can forget.

When friendship is no longer enough, there’s always love.

MY REVIEW:
Crushes are a lot of work to hide from someone especially if the person becomes your best friend.  It becomes a whole lot of energy and that is exactly what happened to both Maureen Evens and Smith Harrington.  On their first day at college.
Then it was four years of cat and mouse, cold showers after study groups and being friend zoned so many times you lose count.  The thing is Reen is a shy insecure young woman trying to figure out this whole world of dating she watches from afar.
At the same time, she sees dates her friend Smith is required to go on dates with per his mother request orders it all in how you look at it I guess.  Due to her social status, it would be requested.  Not to mention the ones he finds on his own.   Before graduation at a party and date setup by his mother Smith was caught by surprise when he saw Reen there at the party yet moving away from him as in another direction.
You see she never went but she went there that night for him but what she saw distressed her so she goes off with one of the frat guys.  The night does not end well when Smith finds her.  Now their friendship is in a cool stage for a while but not broken.
Now it’s time for them to be off to Vet school and they remain friends.  They have friend zoned each other and that still has not lifted but their unrequited love has only deepened.  During their third year, Smith gets an offer to go to England to do an internship and he takes it.  It kills Reen and the fourth year since she has no clue what is going on with Smith at this point is also offered an internship back home so she takes it.  So, they become two ships in the night.  Basically, losing all ties and living off a few email and texts.
Until an opportunity came up for Reen to buy a Vet practice the one she was working at and also a farm house that has the top floors that were made into an apartment.  She’s so excited and she just loves both offers but knows she can’t do it alone.  There is only one person she can trust to do this venture with her and so she calls.  She was right, he jumped at the chance, saying yes.
Both their lives were about to change.  Neither really knew just how much.  Being around her friends and family with Smith Reen was forced to face some truths.  For they knew her true feelings for him and weren’t letting her run.  Smith, on the other hand, was confronted by the women in her life who knew Reen best and told him to grow a pair already.
No matter which side of the coin you were on with this coin it brings back the fun and awkward memories of growing up.  How hard it can be for anyone to put their feelings out there on the line.  How friends and family meaning to help can actually hurt your chances at happiness.  Yet, we love them anyway even during the times we may not like them all the well.

I give this: 5 stars.  Provided by netgalley.com.  Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com.
