MY REVIEW:
At first, reading the blurb to both of these combo stories I was excited to read. Then, saw some reviews and then wasn’t sure. So, glad I decided to go with my gut. This was a fast read first off, a funny airy read. A sweet romance that reads in a whimsical way. Some addressed the maturity level of Alice and Ivy.
Well, first off, they are just twenty-two and childhood friends. You are not going to tell me you do not get together with old friends, new ones for that matter, and act foolish and immature at times. If you say no, you are lying. Plus, they are trying to win over Liv’s brother for Alice so there is a tendency to resort to the maturity level of their birth order and use what worked before.
Not to mention Liv and Alice seem to be more naïve than most. Liv more so than Alice since she had Chett, Aiden, and Scott all older brothers that kept her shelter from guys and the ways of the world. Neither girl even dated that much so didn’t know the proper methods of doing things. So, Not always the best move. Mostly ending up in hot water.
Now though Liv is marrying Xander after some antics the girls pulled to get them together. Which is bringing the Taylor family closer together. Meaning Aiden was around more. Scott a brother of Liv, that Alice has no interest in at all but for some unknown reason kissed her on the lips no less. Decided to do it when Aiden was around making him mad and not as friendly as before.
Liv and Xander say she should just talk to him she says “no” she didn’t do anything. Not to mention, Aiden has not even told her he likes her. Liv starts masterminding plans to get it done. One being the two of them playing flag football with the guys. With Alice in short shorts. But when Xander’s brother, Henry asks her out and within minutes Scott arrives late and kiss her cheek and ask her for coffee it gets dicey.
See how mixed messages, peeked texts messages, lies, jokes, and birthday surprises can change the course of how you see your world. Be aware that when Aiden and Alice start to break the ice things start to heat the sheets that a blaze could start them on fire. I give this: 5 stars. Was on Amazon for .99 cents.
