  2. hard to believe that last week was Babe Ruth 100 year anniversary of his first major league game, July 11, 1914, with the Red Sox. besides being a great hitter with a .342 average, he also had won 94 games as a starting pitcher losing 46, he even was the ERA champion in 1916, most people forget about his pitching.

  3. in golf the British Open started today with Mcllroy leading and Woods making 5 birdies on the last 9 holes to be in the chase. though it is just the first day and anything can and will happen in the next three days.

  4. the NFL is now looking at holding the draft at either L.A. or Chicago, not in New York. where it has been held since 1965. lets just see how that will go over with everyone. they are also looking at putting it back to April not everyone was happy with the May date, due to lack of rookie workout time provided.
