HOLD ME DOWN JACKIE ASHENDEN
Leonidas “Blue” Delacroix might be the prodigal son of New Orleans aristocrats, but the Deacons of Bourbon Street are his real family. And with their patriarch murdered, Blue wants nothing more than to unleash hell on the motorcycle club’s enemies—even if it means taking up arms against the girl who used to be his best friend. She’s done quite a bit of growing up, and suddenly their chemistry is red-hot. But where’s the line between ruthless seduction and sweet temptation?
For Alice Day, loyalty is everything. When Blue skipped town, she had no choice but to adopt a new family: their rivals, the Graveyard Ministry. Seeing him again reawakens old feelings . . . and fiery fantasies. Alice could never forget the scent of leather on his skin—just as she could never forgive the sting of his betrayal. But while the Ministry has treated her like one of their own, Blue is part of her soul. And as their liaisons hit the boiling point, Alice trusts her heart with the deadliest choice of her life.
HUBBY'S REVIEW:
When Leonidas “Blue” Delacroix comes back to New Orleans and the Bar of the Deacons of Bourbon Street. He is totally focused on the back side of a beautiful women at the bar. When he goes up to talk to her he is shocked to see Alice Day. She looks nothing like she did when he left. Now the look on her face is one of hurt and being pissed off at just one of the men that left her. He of course was 18 and after he left her father died. In order to keep her families’ garage going she took up with the Graveyard Ministry. The rivals of the Deacons, and Blue is upset, but not as mad as she is. She feels that the people that loved especially the two men she was the closet to left her and now seeing one of them is causing her mixed emotions. They are still attracted to each other and he feels bad for leaving and now wants to help even though she does not want his help. You get more into the story you find that the Deacons are still looking for the person or persons who killed Priest. As this part starts to get going Blue is getting closer to her but also angrier at the Graveyard because he is sure they are the ones who did the killing. Alice being so confused is even more confused when Blue is supposed to take out of town, but then lets her go and decides that if she feels so strong to leave. This is confusing to her and it does not compute in her head until she is back in New Orleans, but Blue is not with her and she now feels she is the one who has blown it. When she realizes Blue was showing her how much he loved her by letting her go. When you get to the end you find out you killed Priest, but does Blue, and Alice get together? Read the book.
