A Hot Montana Summer (Glacier Creek Book 1)

A HOT MONTANA SUMMER                         KAREN FOLEY

Jamie Colter is a combat-hardened Marine who’s back in Glacier Creek recuperating from a mortar attack that left him with a busted leg and a serious case of cabin fever. He just wants to get back on his feet and rejoin his unit, until the one woman he’s never been able to forget walks back into his life. The last time she saw him, he was a scrawny teenager. Now he has just two weeks to make her see him as the only man who is perfect for her.

With her marriage in ruins, Rachel McCafferty returns to Glacier Creek to nurse her wounds and make a fresh start—one that doesn’t involve someone who will eventually abandon her, the way her ex-husband did. When Rachel catches sight of Jamie, she’s dumbstruck by his good looks and brash confidence. He’s no longer a boy—he’s a man, and when he makes it clear he’s hers for the taking, she finds herself rethinking all her rules about younger guys.

PAT'S REVIEW

A nice story about two people coming together. First Jamie grew up living across the street from Rachel and is also her brother’s best friend. She is older than him by six years and this theme comes out throughout the story. Now she is in her thirty’s and home as her divorce is finalized, her mother talks her into helping Jamie who has come home from the Marines after his unit came under attack. Injured and not being able to get around like he would like she agrees to help so her parents and his will go away on their annual cruise. When seeing him it is not his injuries that set her back a breath but his body size and overall appearance is nothing like she remembers. The Marines has definitely changed his body into a man and is nothing like her former husband. Jamie is attracted to her more now than he was years earlier now he only needs to show her that he can be right for her. The problem for her is that her former husband was younger than her and thought that really was not the problem that is what she focuses on with Jamie when they start to get hot and heavy. Later when he hears her talking to her mother and comparing him to her ex he has had enough and leaves. Her problem is that when she goes to his house to apologize he gone, gone. She has no idea where he went and she begins to realize that she had something special. Now she needs to find him and tell him if he will listen to her. The last part of the book has a lot going on for all of the characters, including her brother and his neighbor which he is clueless over. Along with Jamie and Rachel. A good story with good characters. Very much worth the read. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com
