Hot and successful men weren't meant for me. I had experienced that early on after a humiliating experience in high school. So when I met the incredibly handsome Desmond who even kissed me, all I could do was run away. I had no idea this wouldn't be the last time I'd feel his lips on mine.

I had never met a woman that wouldn't willingly jump into bed with me. Until I met Haley. This beautiful woman kept popping around in my head when she didn't seem to want to be near me. Yeah, I wanted to get her into bed, but this was different. I wished to make her mine, too. For the first time in my life, I wanted nothing more than to commit myself to a woman. But how could I catch her?
MY REVIEW:
Haley is a girl who has always been
curvy. She has always wanted to be loved
and live happily-ever-after. With a
price of course. Or at least a man who
loves her for her and not anyone else.
Yet, dating for her started and stopped
her senior year. The quarterback of the
football team asked her to the prom. Then stands her up on purpose as a joke. All to make her look foolish. Her best friend, Mitchell talked her into
taking the chance and saying yes to going and with Jesse. He felt awful.
When Mitchell found out he was a no show
he came to tell Haley right away. She
was done with dating especially rich guys.
No, one wanted a girl like her with curves anyway. She just decided she would be okay with her
life, her cat, and her friends.
That was until Mitchell and Tommy set her
up on a blind date with Tommy’s boss Desmond.
At first, at the club for drinks, it didn’t seem like Desmond was into
her. I wasn’t until she excused herself
to go to the restroom where she was trying to figure out a way to duck
out. This is when he took notice and paid
attention.
When she came out of the restroom, she was
surprised, to say the least, because Desmond was standing there waiting for
her. Saying a lady shouldn’t have to go
to the restroom unattended. Opening
communication between them. He asks her
to dance and the night was theirs. They
danced for hours.
I enjoyed how the author built the
relationship from this point on. How it
shows her feelings and fears. Nice
