SAVED BY THE SEAL (Battle Scars #2)

SAVED BY THE SEAL                           DIANA GARDIN

He saved her life. She showed him how to live it . . .

When he sees a woman drowning, Grisham Abbot immediately leaps into action. The Navy SEAL forgets his training, his past, and the explosion that forever scarred his body and his mind. He can only remember what he was born to do. But saving Greta Owen is a complication Grisham is definitely not ready for. She’s stunning and gorgeous—like sunlight after months of darkness. Yep, Grisham is so, so screwed.

Greta knows that the smart thing to do would be to run from Grisham. He’s a wounded warrior, and his head is a big-time mess. The problem is that Greta wants to make him her mess. One kiss and she’s completely in over her head. And if this SEAL risked himself to save her, then she must find a way to bring him back to life . . .

HUBBY'S REVIEW:
This story begins with Grisham Abbott sitting on the beach watching his buddies surfing, and wondering when he will want to get back on his board. When they agree to meet at a local waffle house he hears a faint call for help, and barley seeing someone in the ocean without thinking he jumps in and rescues her. It turns out that they know each other once she comes to. He offers to take her to urgent care and this begins the story of Grisham and Greta. Greta Owen knows about Grisham and his injuries from Afghanistan, he lost part of a lower leg. She accepts him because she is attracted to him and she feels that he is attracted to her as well. This is a story of two people really healing each other and finding themselves when they feel all alone. Both of them must have come their natural ten dices to run away when a problem comes up. As they work through each one it turns out to be more of a challenge than either one thought it would be, but they still are fighting through the idea of running. This was a very good book and I enjoyed the characters a lot. Even the side characters gave the story depth it needed. I gave this book 4 stars. I got it from netgalley.com.
