Zoey Parker’s life changes one night in college. It is days later when she is shown by her two friends a video that was being aired around campus. Her final months of college were horrible and her dreams of becoming a veratrin were stopped. Now working at a pet salon and actually with two real friends it is two years later. She lives in Brooklyn wanting to do one more thing and then go home to Colorado where she is from. The night at the sex club is all exclusive you must be a member and pay a high membership fee. Only the wealthy belong. This night though the main attraction is a man is to take a virgin in the middle of the club. All wearing masks it is when the female and the male eyes met that an attraction is felt. That is intensified as they begin and before you know it is like they are the only ones there. Before that connection, she lifted her mask just enough so her two video takers from college see her and leave in shock. She is surprised when the man she is with is actually the owner of the club is Rhy, now Zoey who is asked to stay leaves when no one is looking. Here is when the story becomes good for the next day his security man shows up at her place to bring her back to the club. He finds out how she was able to get into the security and other parts of the club and Rhy is actually intrigued by her. The two of them become an item and for someone who did not want to be seen, she allowed herself to be seen a few more times. This turns out to be a good one and with all of the different characters this really adds to the flow of the story. I can’t wait for the story with Elsie and Archer for he met his match with her. The fast woman is a book about a woman C. J. Lomax has been driving, racing her whole life. Now thinking that she will finally get a full-time ride on the big boy’s circuit she finds out that she will be sharing half the ride with an Indy driver who was suspended for a year. Not happy she agrees to the terms. Grady the Indy driver puts his foot in his mouth early in the story for he does not know the history of the family or of C.J. and some of the other drivers. Once he starts putting everything together and hears the back story about C.J. and her ex who died he begins to get a feel for what is going on besides racing. This is really is what this book was about, yes there is plenty of action on the speedway and the author did a good job describing the racing and the talking from driver to spotter. But you see all of the backstories with C.J. and you also see how Mr. Merrick really has used his relationship with her and his own daughter Harper as a way to hinder their growth instead of letting them soar. I will say that the woman that C.J. was at the beginning driving her Ducati and giving everyone hell, change partway through because she and Grady were dating. I had hoped she would have stayed the same. But the ending with her and Harper and the Aunt and what they did to Mr. Merrick was classic. Beth Andrews is bitter from her divorce, and also, she is bitter from her lack of being satisfied by the men that she has dated since then. Especially her last man who only talks of finical, stocks, and earnings. When she gets him off yet won’t return the pleasure that night becomes more unbearable when her upstairs neighbor will not be quiet especially with the number of times, he and his date are still going at it. She has also noticed since she cannot sleep the women are different than the last one. A few days go by and low and behold her upstairs neighbor is standing in front of her after knocking at her door. Wanting to introduce himself with a bottle of wine she decides to let him in and the next thing she knows they are moving from the couch to the bedroom. After telling him she needs a break he tells her two hours and when she hears a noise she is awakened. Remembering what Johnathon said about setting an alarm she is surprised he actually did. She is surprised that he is attracted to her and though he leaves for a business trip when she arrives for his art show they spend an hour together making up for the lost time. You get the feeling that they are both into each other and once it begins to grow a misunderstanding by Beth leads to a breakup for a short bit. She still has her fears and insecurities from her past marriage and divorce once she realizes her mistake will his youthfulness allow him to accept her forgiveness or will it be too prideful and ruin a good thing that they had.
