| This is another book in the Shaughnessy series. Teagan a cousin of theirs moves from Colorado with her son to Carolina because her parents are moving. Now having a family barbeque weeks after her move she meets Bobby Hannigan Anne Quinn’s brother. He had been shot at the beginning of the book. Being a police officer and he is fighting his recovery. After thinking he embarrassed himself he tries to leave only to be tracked down by her. Having her tell him off begins there back and forth and on and off the relationship. He is attracted to her but she had lost her son father to war is scared with him being a police officer. Not wanting to put herself into the situation again she comes up with reasons why they cannot be together after he is healed.
