Should've Been You (Man Enough #3)

SHOULD'VE BEEN YOU                               NICHOLE McLAUGHLIN

Childhood neighbors get a chance at love in Should’ve Been You, an achingly romantic novella in Nicole McLaughlin’s Man Enough series!

National Guardsman Jase Beckford wants to live a quiet life raising cattle and taking care of his mother. His childhood friend and neighbor Hannah is still his best friend, but when he walks into the Walters house one morning and sees her twin sister Becca for the first time in five years, he wonders if he missed out on something special.

Becca Walters has nursed a secret crush on Jase since childhood, but he always preferred Hannah, so she buried her feelings assuming her sister and Jase would one day turn their flirtation into a real relationship. And this Christmas, she is anticipating a proposal of her own, so Jase’s reappearance in her life doesn’t mean anything. Much. Okay, maybe more than Becca would like to admit.

However, when Becca’s sister gets engaged to someone who’s not Jase, Becca and Jase find themselves spending more together. And when secrets are revealed, suddenly those dormant feelings come back to life; but is the possibility of something between them worth risking the happiness of everyone they love?

PAT'S REVIEW

A story of three people who were together as children and Jase has always had a crush on Becca Walters, but because of things that were said by her twin when they were younger nothing ever came of it. Hannah, Becca’s twin just figure after what Hannah said to her that Jase did not like her and so the story begins. Years later Becca is home helping their father and being there for Hannah who is getting married when both Becca and Jase start to have feelings for one another. To the point that Becca breaks up with her boyfriend, there is more to that story. Jase is torn because he is wondering how she can like him now when she has disliked him all of this time. Now when they begin to spend time together Hannah becomes jealous and breaks off her engagement. Confused me too, but the story starts to work itself out and you begin to see where everything took a turn way back when now can they correct everything so Jase and Becca can be a couple. Read this fascinating story to find out. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com
