MY REVIEW:

I would for sure read this whole series. This author’s style of writing is exactly what I enjoy totally. Humor, a large happy family who works and supports one another. Sexual bantering, tension, and yes sex. We enjoy how this family likes to butt into each other’s business yet, not in a menacing way. Only with true love and concern.

Landon Connor is one of six Connor children left behind when his parents were killed by a drunk driver. He is not only the eldest child he is the eldest child by fifteen minutes. Which he endearing reminds his twin Val as often as possible. They both took over raising the children when tragedy struck. Landon is a widower and billionaire of a software co., Val is the owner & creator of a cosmetics & perfume co., Will is next he is a detective with LAPD.

Now, we have Lori she is a single mother of, Milo. She is an event/wedding planner, Hailey is next she is an investment planner and last but not least is, Jace he is a pro soccer player. Which is something both Landon and Val were well on their way to becoming since they had both received full rides to Harvard for soccer but days before Christmas, they came home to bad news then stayed to do their part?

This is a family that doesn’t see a negative, only a way to find solutions even if it means ganging up on the stubborn one. Now, Landon has met his match when he meets Maddie. She too is the eldest and used to caring for her sister. Different circumstances same results. Landon is not used to anyone say no and why so firmly as well as pleasantly. Stubborn, meet stubborn. These treats in her intrigues him.

You see Maddie is the owner, on-site, and hands-on, the working boss of her landscaping design business. So, when Landon arrives at his sister’s spacious home and yards it looks like a bomb went off. Laughingly Val recruits her to spy on Landon to make him relax since he’s not had a vacation in four years. From there their lives become entwined. Two weeks turns into six plus.

MY REVIEW:

First, If you have triggers of verbal or physical abuse be aware recounts can be harsh. The first time reading this author that I can remember at least. Now, these are two people who come from behind and find their HEA, but wow does this author take you on a wild ride to get there. I have to say it will be worth it.

I did read some of the one & two stars like I always do to see what I am walking into. I have to say either they skimmed over the book and missed a lot of connecting parts or for sure some, they misread the items they chose to bring up.

Karrie was fifteen years younger than her husband Alex Parker. When the book opens his alarm goes off and he is pulling away during a sexual act he is receiving from Karrie. Right away I am no way, homeboys getting some on the side. No man walks away from his woman during that. Karrie, however, is clueless, she was more fixated on the fact that he tells her his sidekick is on his way to pick him up and he needs a shower.

Tyler Strong is Karrie’s age and sexy as all get out but she hates him because one he steals her husband’s time from her every weekend with racing motorcycles for Alex Parker Racing. You see Alex owns a team and races himself that’s how they met. Second, he’s always watching her and leering at her. She tried to be his friend because he was her husband's best friend but he still hates her. Once again, he waits in the driveway, he won’t come in.

Months later after a major blow-up between Karrie and Alex when he tells her he has a race the weekend of their fifth anniversary on his way back the unthinkable happens to turn everything Karrie ever knew on its head.

Only one man had all the answers and they both hated each other’s guts. Her grief and her need for answers and then her anger make it all possible to decide to get them.

Yet, through it all, she was able to go crazy, be angry, purge, fight back, and triumph over a lot. Yet, her ex haunted her. Tyler, in my opinion, continued to stir that pot with Penny. It angered me how quickly she would forgive him for omissions not really lies but, in a relationship, where you came from mistrust, it is hard to forget so quickly. Tyler was a repeat offender.

Other than that, he was sexy as all get out. Love a man who’s not afraid to cry, love hard, and is hands-on. I love that her family was there for her, and his too. Make sure you have tissues because there will be ugly tears but lots of laughter too. My kind of read. Free on Amazon.

MY REVIEW: 

I am never expecting anything when I read a book because I don’t want to be disappointed or pass judgment before I read it. Especially so when it comes to a short. I would have given it a full five stars but I never did bond with Gavin’s character. This was a one and done or at least it was supposed to be. But the rabbit died, wow, dating myself.

Granted Gavin has been dealing with a lot. Since that night he had gone dark but for a major reason one that affects the rest of his life. Sabrina has to though one she thinks she is going to have to do alone since she can’t reach the baby daddy, she thought she had a connection with. As much as he said he was into Sabrina, the nuts and bolts of the matter are he didn’t truly believe her. Thanksgiving Day said it all when his mom said, “You gotta stop hiding away.” Bringing my thoughts to the weekend of the reveal where he didn’t want to tell his family and hide it.

It wasn’t until his family was threatened that reality hits, that yes, they are both his family. Because logically what would a woman who makes more bank than him, want to seek out a broken-down cowboy, and who lives in a totally different state want him as her baby daddy? Yet, after her saying those three little words, him asking her to marry him, he still never utters the words till much later.

I know it sounds like he doesn’t have any redeeming qualities, he does. He showed her the three little words but sometimes a girl needs to hear them. When there was a threat to her he handled it his cowboy way, protecting her, his family, his way. In the end, it all works out it was fast enjoyable with a little suspense. A HEA. Free on Amazon. MY REVIEW:

Charlie is one determined young woman left with a huge responsibility filled with love but heartache too. At the same time, she is still dealing with the loss of her own grandma less than a year ago. Yet, she has left her the retirement home in Sitka, Alaska.

There are like six guests but two they have dementia that seems to be costing her the most pain Rose & Francis because they were her grandma’s best friends. Being that she was raised in this home after her parents passing it is very personal.

The thing is she is way over her head as far as keeping the books and whatnot. So, she has had to take on a waitressing job to try and make ends meet. On this day it’s not even working she spills water on a customer and gets fired along with her several times being late. When it’s said and done and she tells him off little does she know that they will meet again?

You see this sexy stranger is Rose’s long-lost grandson. You will. I give this: 5 stars. Free on Amazon.
